Waterloo Weekly
Dear Wildcat Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve already completed the first five weeks of school—time is flying by!
We're excited to share that many classes are doing an outstanding job meeting our weekly attendance goal of 97%, with some classes even reaching 100% attendance! Way to go, Wildcats! 🐾
A quick reminder for parents:
If your child will be absent, please call the attendance hotline at 260-920-1016 and leave a message. Do not message teachers or other staff members directly, as it’s important all attendance updates go through the main system. Thank you for your cooperation!
🚗 Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminders
We’ve added cones to our drop-off and pick-up lines to prevent cars from passing on the left. This is a critical safety measure to help avoid accidents and keep everyone—especially our students—safe. Please remember:
- Do not pass cars on the left in the drop-off or pick-up lines.
- If your child needs help getting in or out of the car, please park in the lot and walk them safely to the curb.
- All students should enter and exit the car on the curbside only to ensure their safety.
- When adults exit vehicles in the drop-off line, it slows down the process for everyone—thank you for keeping things moving!
💰 Penny Wars Start Next Week!
We’re kicking off our annual Penny Wars to raise funds for Boomerang Backpacks, a program that supports students with food over weekends and long breaks. This is a great opportunity for students to have fun while learning about giving back to their community.Attached, you’ll find the rules for earning points—or sabotaging other classes! 😉 Thank you for helping us teach students the value of kindness, citizenship, and supporting those in need.
This week we will be practicing our active intruder drill with students for the first time this year. Students have been instructed on the protocols and will be made aware it is just a drill.
As always, thank you for your continued support and for being a vital part of our school community.
Go Wildcats! 💙
