Waterloo Elementary School has been designated as a Purple Star School. The DeKalb County Central United School Board of Trustees adopted a resolution in March of 2022 in support of Military Families.

Military service members and their immediate family members are entitled to job interviews for job openings within the DeKalb Central School District when they meet the minimum qualifications.
