Waterloo Elementary School has received a $550 grant from the Dekalb County Literacy Fund through the Mother Goose on the Loose grant. The Waterloo PTO wrote a grant requesting funds to help continue the tradition of purchasing a new book for the students at Christmas time. The students will receive a book before the December holiday break. Reading is a very important part of a child's life and we want to help support that with books that can be left at home and read continuously. Also, the PTO will purchase some books for the teachers to have in their classrooms for students.
