A food drive was held at Waterloo Elementary to help support the Warm a Heart food pantry located in Waterloo, Indiana.  Students from the school and the after school program, Excel, collected canned goods and nonperishable items. The following local businesses also contributed to the collection:  Charleston Metal, Nucor, Covington Box, UPS, RP Wakefield, Metal X, and Omni Source.  When the collection of items donated was tallied, a donation of 1,007 items was collected. All these items go into the Warm a Heart food pantry to help local families.  Unlike most food banks, Warm a Heart will feed families a dinner two nights a week and allow each family groceries once a week.  A huge thank you to everyone at making this collection a huge success.  Also, congratulations to Mrs. Haber's class at Waterloo Elementary...They are the class to receive a Cookies & Milk party supplied by Warm a Heart.
