Sabrina Morgan, left and Mariah Wright, right, gather information about each other during a scavenger hunt activity Monday on the first day of classes at Waterloo Elementary School. The girls are in a multi-age class for third-and fourth-graders. This year, students will focus on project-based learning as the school converts to become a New Tech elementary. The scavenger hunt enabled students to work collaboratively, ask questions of one another and get to know one another as they began the new school year.
